1. Introduction
Vstage is a platform that helps fans connect with artists through subscriptions, digital content, messaging, livestreams, and community features.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and retained when you visit or use Vstage at https://vstageapp.com.
Vstage is currently operated by [insert the operator's full legal name and address]. For privacy questions, contact Vcorp.international01@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Vstage, we may collect information you provide when creating or managing an account, including your name, username, display name, email address, date of birth or age information, and country or location information.
We may collect content you submit, including posts, comments, photographs, fan art, fan letters, and messages, along with information necessary to operate the associated features.
We may process subscription details, transaction references, payment status, purchase history, and related billing information. Payments are handled through payment providers such as Stripe. We do not intend to collect full payment-card details directly when those details are handled by the payment provider.
We may collect technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, device and browser information, log records, and information about errors or suspicious activity.
The precise information collected may vary by feature and may change as Vstage develops. We will update this policy when material changes require disclosure.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, apply age restrictions, and provide the features you request.
We use relevant information to provide subscriptions, manage payments, maintain transaction records, support artists and fans, and resolve payment or account issues.
We may use information to detect abuse, enforce platform rules, moderate content, investigate reports, protect users, prevent fraud, and maintain the security and reliability of Vstage.
We use contact details to send service-related emails, account notifications, security notices, and responses to support requests.
We may also use information to comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, and protect the rights and safety of users and Vstage.
4. Information Visible to Artists
Vstage allows artists to see certain information about fans who use their features. Depending on the account information collected and the platform features available, this may include a fan's name, email address, age or birth-date information, country or location information, username, display name, messages, and interactions with the artist.
Artists may need some information to manage their communities and provide the features associated with their offerings. Information visible to artists should be limited to the categories disclosed by Vstage and made available through the relevant interfaces.
Artists are expected to handle fan information responsibly and must not misuse it, disclose it without an appropriate basis, or use it to harass, exploit, or unlawfully contact users.
Before launch, Vstage should confirm exactly which profile fields artists can access. We recommend showing artists an age-eligibility indicator or age range rather than a fan's full date of birth unless access to the full date is genuinely necessary.
5. Private Messages and User Content
Messages and content may be stored so that the relevant features work and participants can access their conversations or submitted material.
Private messages are intended for the conversation participants. Vstage may access or process relevant content where reasonably necessary to operate the service, investigate reports, enforce platform rules, protect users, address security incidents, or comply with law.
Users should not assume that anything shared online can never be copied, captured, or disclosed by another participant. Do not share information that you do not want the recipient to receive or retain.
For more information about acceptable content and moderation, see the Vstage Community & Content Policy.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Vstage uses cookies or similar technologies where needed to operate the website, maintain sessions, remember preferences, support security, and provide features selected by users.
Vstage has a cookie-consent tool. Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, those technologies should not be activated before the required consent is obtained.
Google Analytics and advertising trackers are not currently in use according to Vstage's current implementation. If this changes, Vstage will update its disclosures and consent settings where required.
For more details, including how to manage your preferences, see the Vstage Cookie Policy.
7. Service Providers and Information Sharing
Vstage may share relevant information with service providers that help operate the platform. These may include Stripe for payment processing, Cloudflare for infrastructure, security, and moderation-related functions, and Resend for email delivery.
Information may be shared with artists as described in the section explaining artist-visible information.
We may disclose information where required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect users or the public, to investigate suspected unlawful conduct, or to establish or defend legal claims.
If Vstage undergoes a business restructuring, transfer, or sale, personal information may be transferred as part of that process subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards.
Vstage does not sell personal information to advertisers as a business model. Information may nevertheless be processed by service providers as needed to provide the service.
8. International Data Transfers
Vstage is operated from Germany and may be used by people in different countries. Our service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence.
Where personal information protected by European data-protection law is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Vstage will use an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards where required by law.
Further information about applicable transfer safeguards may be requested by contacting Vstage at Vcorp.international01@gmail.com.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our policies, and comply with legal requirements.
When an account deletion request is submitted, Vstage intends to provide a seven-day period during which the user may contact support to cancel the request.
After deletion is completed, Vstage intends to delete the account and associated private-message data from its active systems, subject to technical limitations and any information that must or may lawfully be retained for a limited period.
Certain payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, backup, or legal records may need to be retained where required or permitted by law. Where information is retained for such reasons, access and use should be limited to the relevant purpose and retention period.
The actual deletion and retention process must match Vstage's technical implementation and applicable legal requirements.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of certain information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions. Some information may need to be retained to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
To exercise a privacy right, contact Vcorp.international01@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your relevant data-protection supervisory authority.
11. Children's Privacy and Age Restrictions
Vstage's intended minimum-age policy is 13 in the United States and 16 elsewhere, subject to applicable law and any stricter local requirements.
We may request date-of-birth information to apply age restrictions. Users must not provide false information to bypass eligibility rules.
If we discover that an account has been created in violation of applicable age requirements, we may restrict or close the account and take appropriate steps concerning its information in accordance with law.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable requirements may contact Vstage at Vcorp.international01@gmail.com.
12. Security
Vstage uses appropriate measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No website or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their login credentials and promptly report suspected account compromise.
We may investigate suspected security incidents and take steps reasonably necessary to protect the service and its users.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
Vstage may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services. Those services may have their own privacy policies and practices.
Vstage is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites. Review their privacy information before providing them with personal information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Vstage, the information we process, our service providers, or applicable law.
We will update the date at the top of the policy and provide additional notice where required by law.
